In today’s news, Jordan benefits from health services support, researchers use inexpensive technology to discover pristine undersea habitat in Greenland, Sydney, Australia adopts green energy for municipal operations, McDonald’s in China phases out plastic straw usage, family saves young bear with plastic tub stuck on head, new vegan bacon product introduced in United Kingdom, and coalition of wildlife sanctuaries protect chimpanzees in Africa.

Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, supports medical services in Jordan.

In partnership with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), Japan has launched a US$1.3 million program to strengthen the Jordanian Royal Medical Services (JRMS). The initiative will rehabilitate and equip the JRMS’s female surgical and pediatric wards, plus the renal dialysis unit. This endeavor is expected to benefit over 330,000 people, including Syrian refugees. Their previous project included the restoration of JRMS’s obstetrics and gynecology departments, enhancing services and access for patients at the King Hussein Medical Centre, and furnishing medical beds and ambulances which are currently used for COVID-19 patients. Our sincere appreciation, Japan, for your generosity, and the United Nations Office for Project Services for all you do to assist global citizens. May the fine people of Jordan greet an ever brighter future, in Allah’s benevolence.

Innovative technology reveals Greenland’s deep-sea habitat.

Scientists have recently discovered a soft coral garden that lives in near darkness 500 meters undersea off Greenland’s coast. Researchers from the United Kingdom’s University College London and the Zoological Society London, along with Greenland Institute of Natural Resources, made the discovery using a light and laser-equipped GoPro video camera placed inside a pressure-proof covering, and then lowering the low-cost device into the ocean. It has produced never-before-seen images of delicate, deep-sea coral gardens, featuring cauliflower corals and small aquatic animals. The researchers hope the tool will mean better mapping and more knowledge of deep sea beds in the future, thus leading to enhanced protections of these fragile marine environments. Our accolades, University College London, Zoological Society London, Greenland Institute of Natural Resources scientists, and all those involved in this amazing project. Your fascinating findings inspire love and appreciation for our precious oceans, in God’s grace.

Up next, Sydney, Australia, adopts green energy for municipal operations. Let’s send our thanks to the newspaper carriers, who get up early to deliver printed news to homes, shops and offices efficiently each day. We will return with more beneficial news after these messages here on Supreme Master Television.

Hallo cheerful friends, how are you today? I’m Ian the vegan Indian Spotted Chevrotain. How can you help the planet? Adopt a vegan diet! We have a useful tip for you today. Oftentimes, when sharing your vehicle with another person, you’ll find yourself moving the driver’s seat forward or backward to suit your preference. By utilizing just two pieces of duct tape, you can avoid the hassle of trying to find the preferred point every time. To do so, adjust your seat to a comfortable position and get out of your car. Set the first piece of tape on the car door frame and the second on the seat. Ensure the pieces of tape are aligned with one another. Tada – now, you can easily find your perfect seat placement every time! Thank you for your attention. And love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the global weather.

Sydney City Council switches to 100% renewable electricity supply.

Sydney, Australia, has now changed to exclusively use sustainable energy sources for powering all street lights and city-owned sites like depots, council buildings, sports facilities, and the Sydney Town Hall. Through a US$41.5 million power purchase agreement, electricity is drawn from different wind and solar farms in the New South Wales state. This arrangement should prevent approximately 20,000 metric tons of carbon emissions annually and save the council over US$353,000 per year over the next decade. The municipality plans to reduce its emissions footprint by 70% by 2030, but could reach this mark by 2024. Great job, Sydney City Council, for your climate-protecting decision to use only green electricity. In Heaven’s bountiful glory, may your goal of reducing the generation of greenhouse gases further be achieved in good time as other councils follow your noble way.

McDonald’s in China takes steps to stop using plastic straws.

McDonald’s in China is phasing out the use of plastic straws at nearly 1,000 outlets in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. This initiative will expand to McDonald’s restaurant locations nationwide by the end of the year, which should reduce up to 400 metric tons of plastic waste annually. Chief Executive Officer of McDonald’s China, Zhang Jiayin, explained, “We believe that taking advantage of McDonald's scale worldwide, reducing straws can be a huge step for sustainable development.” Good move, McDonald’s China. May eco-friendly initiatives such as this go hand-in-hand with the worldwide transition to tread more gently on our planet, in Divine radiance.

Family removes plastic tub from bear’s head.

Tricia and Brian Hurt and their son Brady, from the state of Wisconsin in the United States, managed to remove a plastic tub around a young black bear’s head, which was reported to have been stuck there for three to four days. The family was boating on the Marsh-Miller Lake when they came across the bear in the water, who was having difficulty breathing. After 5 minutes of trying, the family successfully removed the tub, and the bear swam away. A salute of gratitude, Tricia, Brian and Brady Hurt for your caring efforts. We hope you have recovered, sweet bear, and have many safe years and adventures ahead of you. In the grace of the Providence, may all people be responsible with waste, and strive to keep our planet clean to assure the safety of our animal friends.

Coming up, new vegan bacon product introduced in United Kingdom. We are going to enjoy some Quan Họ Bắc Ninh folk songs, a custom from Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, in which two men and two women take turns singing expressively. Supreme Master Television will return in just a moment with more exceptional news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Responsible News for a Conscientious World.

Major United Kingdom supermarket retailer premieres vegan bacon item.

Tesco, Britain’s largest grocery chain, recently launched a realistic plant-based bacon from the UK-based meat alternative company THIS. The new meat analogue, which debuted along with an assortment of vegan chicken products from the same company, will be available in 744 stores around the country for about £3. A TESCO representative commented that demand for vegan food is “astounding.” Way to go, Tesco and THIS, on your new range of items that will give even more options to people looking to switch to the wholesome animal-free diet. May your nation’s laudable conversion to plant-based foods continue at a fast pace, as the noble British citizens choose the Heavenly diet for all.

Wildlife sanctuaries protect chimpanzees in Africa.

Founded in 2000, the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA), an association of 23 primate wildlife centers, is dedicated to caring for 915 chimpanzees in 13 countries. PASA sanctuaries provide forever homes to endangered great apes – some critically endangered. Many of the intelligent mammals were rescued from traffickers or after their habitat was destroyed. PASA sites also support wildlife law enforcement officials in the prevention of the illicit wildlife trade. Local communities are empowered to collaborate, and become an integral part of PASA’s conservation efforts. Most notably, Sierra Leone’s government declared the chimpanzee as its national animal in 2019, after discussions with Bala Amarasekaran, the founder and program director of the Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary – one of PASA’s original coalition partners. Our heartfelt thankfulness, the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance, Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary and all other members. May we protect all lives and safeguard our planet’s rich heritage of flora and fauna, in Divine mercy.

Here is a quick massage for your belly, a joke entitled “Sugar.” But the instruction says you must laugh to feel the effect.

“Who would like to try to construct a sentence with the word ‘sugar’ in it?”

“I drank tea this morning.”

“But where is the word ‘sugar,’ Tony?”

“It was already in the tea, Mrs. Smith.”

And now we have a heartline from Minh in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:

To Supreme Master Television team: Through Supreme Master Television, I would like to thank Master a million times for Your blessings to my family. Everyone thought it was incredible. It was when I participated in the 7-day retreat in the New Land Ashram (from December 24-30, 2019). In Âu Lạc (Vietnam), my mother, who was 95 years old, passed away right on Christmas Day. Before that, my mother was not sick at all, but she said that three persons came to inform her that they would come to receive her. She happily told her children and grandchildren to give others her clothes and not burn them. Then, she walked around in the garden to talk and bid goodbye to the dogs. After that, she cleaned herself and went to bed and passed away in her sleep early the next morning in peace. I came back home after the retreat, and I cried because I missed my mother, and also because I was happy knowing that Master had lovingly taken my mother to Heaven. I thank Master infinitely and also am grateful to Supreme Master Television. May Heaven on Earth soon come true; I wish our Ultimate Master long life and spiritual elevation. Minh from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)

Gentle Minh, Thank you for your note. Our heartfelt condolences go to you and your family on the loss of your mother, but we are also glad that she is in a better place now taken care of by our Father in Heaven. She will surely benefit from your spiritual practice as Supreme Master Ching Hai has stated that at least five generations are liberated when one is initiated by Her and practices sincerely thereafter. Immensely blessed are we indeed to be born in the same era as Supreme Master Ching Hai and given the precious gift of initiation into the Quan Yin family. We pray that Master’s teachings will reach all beings so they, too, can find True wisdom through enlightenment. May you and the considerate people of Âu Lạc (Vietnam) continue to be spiritually uplifted. In Buddha’s infinite blessings, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master has this message for you: “Faithful Minh, your mother’s soul is resting peacefully and blissfully in the Heavenly abode. Please continue to diligently practice and pray for World Vegan to come soon. May green Âu Lạc (Vietnam) know only tranquility and harmony, in Divine radiance.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline

We sure have enjoyed spending time with you on Noteworthy News. May you be graced with a tender heart and giving spirit.
