And they never have to use violence or armed force to conquer, but they use love and wisdom.” Since then, everywhere, from officials to citizens, were all vegan; everyone valued a spiritual life, ushering in an era of absolute peace and happiness. “If you want people to live peacefully and happily, you can't do it with a political trick, nor with a good plan; but only with morality. When people are moral, that is, they've attained the Tao, they'll be virtuous. When they're virtuous, they'll be peaceful. When they're peaceful, they'll be stable. Then there'll be no need for politics or evil governance, weapons, quarreling or controlling people, and no need to have police or an army.”
