The government of Kazakhstan has sent two planeloads of lifesaving medical supplies with an estimated value of US$2.2 million to Ukraine through Poland, as directed by His Excellency Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan. The much-needed donation weighs an estimated 82 metric tons and includes 25 types of medicines that were mainly produced in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is a Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance laureate. World Health Organization (WHO) warns most people are inhaling unhealthy air.
In a report that was released in the lead-up to World Health Day on April 7, 2022, the WHO cautioned that 99% of the planet’s population is breathing air that exceeds internationally approved pollution limits. Moreover, people in low and middle-income countries are experiencing the most exposure to unhealthy air. Alarmingly, an estimated 4.2 million individuals lose their lives to outdoor air pollution annually, while 3.8 million fatalities are linked to household smoke released by filthy stoves and fuels. According to the WHO, inhaling particulate matter, especially PM2.5, could result in cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and respiratory diseases, while breathing in nitrogen dioxide is linked to respiratory conditions, particularly asthma, which could lead to medical emergencies and hospital admissions. To reduce air pollution levels, the WHO is calling for a speedy shift from the use of fossil fuels to clean power generation, among other measures. United States-based company transforming cotton textile waste into new products.
Evrnu has created a method to recycle cotton textile waste and turn it into a fabric which could replace 90% of the world’s commonly used textiles. The NuCycl r-lyocell material is made from 100% used cotton textiles and can be further recycled up to 10 times. It is just as strong as the original cotton and is created using a modification of the traditional lyocell manufacturing method. Evrnu is currently moving forward to enable tens of millions of metric tons of textile waste to renter the economy. Way to go, Evrnu, on your planet-protecting method to reuse our precious resources. Turkish report finds most Syrian refugees in nation want to stay.
A recent survey supported by UNHCR Turkey has found that 58% of the Syrian refugees in the country feel happy and would like to remain. Turkey currently hosts the largest number of displaced people in the world. It was also found that the Syrian refugees do not feel discriminated against or excluded, and between 2011 and 2021 almost 175,000 Syrians were granted citizenship. The rest have been given temporary protected status and will not be sent back against their will. All Syrian refugees in the nation have access to education, health care, social assistance and also the labor market. Strangers collect lost money and hand over to local police.
Ms. Zhou from Taipei, Taiwan, also known as Formosa, is forever grateful to the Good Samaritans who helped recover almost all of the money that she thought she had lost. She was on the way home with a backpack full of banknotes that she borrowed from friends to start a business. Unfortunately, the backpack was not tightly secured and she unknowingly dropped it. The bag’s contents, including her identification documents, debit cards and about US$17,850 in notes scattered all over the street. Ten caring people tried to retrieve as much as possible and turned it all over to a local police station. A stranger called and informed her to contact the police to reclaim the lost money and documents. Congratulations, Ms. Zhou, for recovering your lost money! United States plant-based retail sales soar.
According to data from The Good Food Institute (GFI), the Plant Based Foods Association (PBFA), and natural product industry promoter SPINS, the total plant-based market in the United States was recently valued at a record US$7.4 billion. The unprecedented year of growth saw the category grow three times faster than total retail sales, despite the challenges of COVID-19 restrictions and supply chain disruptions. Vegan milk sales have increased by 33% over the past three years and totaled US$2.6 billion, while the vegan meat market expanded by 74% during that time period. Julie Emmett of PBFA commented, “The sustained rise in the market share of plant-based foods is remarkable and clarifies that this shift is here to stay.” Our appreciation, GFI, PBFA, and SPINS, for providing such exciting information. Cordons to be placed on beaches in Channel Islands to save bird-people in danger.
Two beaches in Alderney of the Channel Islands, an archipelago off the coast of western Europe, will have four areas cordoned off to protect the endangered nesting Ringed Plover-people this summer from April to mid-August. The Alderney Wildlife Trust has advised the public to avoid these areas and to make sure their dog-person companions also do not disturb the vulnerable nesting bird-people. Although there are five breeding Ringed Plover couples on Alderney, only one or two of the pairs have previously successfully raised chicks. Alderney island remains the last nesting spot for the Ringed Plover-folk in the Channel Islands. Great news, Alderney Wildlife Trust. It was finally Chrissy’s big wedding day. It was all she’d been hoping for. Her family and friends were all there. And there was a wide variety of delectable vegan dishes and desserts. So much so, that she was getting caught up in tasting all of the yummy vegan treats. Upon seeing this, the bride’s father said:
“Sweetheart, don’t forget, you are not the one attending the wedding reception, you are just the bride.”

Greetings from Ukraine! When the war broke out in my country, there were many calls from different countries, from America, Canada, Mongolia, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, and other countries. These calls flickered like flashlights in my life. These were calls from the disciples of Supreme Master Ching Hai, with support, offers of help and even invitations to come to them for temporary residence from the horrors of war. In my country, bombs are being blown up, houses are being destroyed, children, women, civilians and soldiers are being killed. And it is especially touching to realize that there are those who will help when it is so necessary. I realized that I am not alone, there are millions of us all over the planet, because compassion has no borders, love has no borders, cordiality has no borders – this is all that unites people and makes the world peaceful and happy. And the other day, humanitarian aid was organized and delivered from Poland and Germany, not only to us, but also to our cat-people. They ate a special vegan cat food for the first time and were very pleased.
I pray for peace in the world and peace in Ukraine. I ask that the war end immediately. I asked Supreme Master Ching Hai to help in this. I asked that the mayor of Melitopol be released within two-three days. On the third day of my request, he was released – everyone saw it on television. This is a real miracle. I asked for the Chernobyl zone: I said, “My favorite Master, I ask the Russian troops to leave without a single shot, without casualties, to take away their military equipment and go away. I do not know how to do it right, but I beg it to happen, and as soon as possible, because in this area, it is dangerous not only for Ukraine but for the whole world, because there is radiation.” And so it happened as I asked. Again, a comparative miracle.
When there is a connection, I call my mother (my mother is now in the occupation zone) and tell her about the news on Supreme Master TV. She always listened with interest for a long time and thanked Master for Her endless Love and sensitivity, and then my mother said, “Master Ching Hai, She is not simple, but a special Lady, because the blood of the Goddess flows in Her.” I am very pleased to hear this from her and I am proud of my mother for her conclusion. I have more private good news I want to share with you. My husband is a vegetarian, after watching Supreme Master TV, and maybe even my example worked, he said that from April 30 this year (2022) he will become a vegan! Wow! Glory to Master Ching Hai!
