The Iranian government recently completed its ninth shipment of aid to Afghanistan, weighing 25 tons and containing medicine, food and health items. The delivery was brought by air to Kandahar. Some Afghans who were injured in a recent conflict-related event were also sent to Iran for medical treatment. As of 2020, Iran was sheltering 3.4 million refugees from Afghanistan. Iran is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Good Governance, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, and a laureate of a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion. In a video call with the French president, His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, during the COP26 United Nations climate conference this past November, French astronaut Thomas Pesquet, speaking from the International Space Station (ISS), sounded the alarm about the devastating consequences of global warming which he could see from space. “Repeated tropical storms,” “pollution of rivers,” and “entire regions burning” are just a few of the disturbing phenomena that Mr. Pesquet vividly described from his unique vantage point high above the Earth. The astronaut also revealed that climate conditions have grown visibly worse since his first ISS mission in 2016. Pfizer develops antiviral medication that helps COVID-19-infected individuals.
US-based pharmaceutical company Pfizer has created an oral antiviral medication, called PAXLOVID, that reduces the risk of hospitalization or death by 89% in COVID-19-infected patients. A study was performed on the efficacy of the medication, where people were either given PAXLOVID or a placebo within 3 days of developing COVID symptoms. In the group that received the medicine, only 0.8% were hospitalized, and no one died; however, in the placebo group, 7% of patients were placed in the hospital or lost their lives. Pfizer is seeking approval from the US Food and Drug Administration for Emergency Use Authorization for PAXLOVID. Great news, Pfizer, on the successful trial of your new antiviral medication. World Bank approves US$400 million loan for water security project in Niger.
Funded through the World Bank’s International Development Association, the initiative will enable the Nigerien government to improve its management of water resources and alleviate water shortages using “disruptive technologies.” The Integrated Water Security Platform Project will promote sustainable use of water across all sectors and provide enhanced monitoring systems and infrastructure to improve the quality of life in local communities. The project seeks to provide water resilience for three million people and mitigate water stress caused by climate change through improving the water supply, sanitation and irrigation infrastructure, thereby boosting food security and access to essential water services. Police officers from United States save teen driver from car sinking in water.
When an 18-year-old university student became trapped after driving her vehicle into a river in Indiana, she phoned emergency services. The dispatcher tried to calm the panicking driver while three officers raced to the location. Officer Casey Bell immediately jumped in the freezing cold water and eventually broke the car’s window and pulled the driver through it to safety with seconds to spare. Officers James Lenox and Greg Skaggs made sure no one else was in the car. The young woman was taken to the hospital and is recovering. Her mom, Michelle Rosbia, expressed her gratitude to the officers saying, “There’s not enough money in the world that can repay you for the blessing that you bestowed on my daughter.” We wish the young woman a speedy recovery. Spain rejects restrictions on vegan meat and dairy product labeling.
The government of Spain has denied a proposal to ban alternative meat and dairy items from being labeled with words such as “burger,” “meat,” and “milk.” The move comes after the European Union also withdrew support for a similar proposal. ProVeg International, which promotes plant-based living, welcomed the result, highlighting that the plant-based sector is growing through consumers who “understand perfectly what they are buying and why they are buying it.” Other countries that have created supportive plant-based food labeling regulations include Japan, India and China. Spain is a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion. Way to go, Spain, for your wise choice to not support the animal-people killing industry with unfair laws. May your lovely nation soon be fully vegan as the Spanish people enjoy the blessings of a God supported diet.
Rescuers in Australia free whale-person entangled in net.
Several Australian entities, including the New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service and the non-profit Marine Rescue Broken Bay, freed a young humpback whale-person who had become entangled in a shark net about 800 meters offshore Whale Beach in Sydney. By the time the rescuers arrived, the whale-person was fatigued by his attempts to free himself. He was successfully liberated just before dusk after almost 5 hours of the team’s efforts. Many thanks, Australian entities, for your diligent efforts to save the life of our beautiful whale-person co-inhabitant. Before the manager could finish, a couple walked through the hotel entrance and the manager quickly approached them, nicely took their luggage and said:
“Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. James! It is a delight to have you in our hotel. Please come this way to the reception.”
After the couple had been taken care of, Julius asked the manager.
“Has the couple visited this hotel before?”
“No!”
“So how did you know their name?”
“All I had to do was quickly look at the label on their bags and see the name on the tag. Oh, here comes another couple. Why don’t you give a try?”
“Ok!”
He hurriedly approached the couple, helped them with their luggage and said...
“Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. superior handmade vegan leather! We are delighted to have you at our hotel.”

I was born with the psychic ability to see invisible ghosts and spirits. I remember that in my childhood, the elder relatives would ask us to eat meat. If I ate a chicken-person that day, the soul of the chicken-person would come to peck my body hatefully at night. Whichever kind of animal-people you eat, they’d come to get even with you at night. If you kill ant- or cockroach- persons, at night, their souls will latch onto your body and won’t let go. I told the elders that those animal-people died with hatred. Not being able to see it, the elders just thought I was talking nonsense. I felt miserable being forced to eat meat. Fortunately, I was initiated by Master and became a vegan. On the day of initiation, all the souls of the creditors and enemies of the initiates were liberated. I could see them, brought by fellow initiates from many lifetimes, filling up the aisles and the back of the initiation hall. Oh, God!
