Pope Clement VII had originally commissioned Michelangelo to fresco the altar wall of the Sistine Chapel in 1533. However, Michelangelo’s own relationship with the Catholic Church became strained due to its corruption, and he devoutly sought the Truth through direct communication with God instead. He expressed his views and insights through many hidden messages and themes within his paintings.

In 1512, Michelangelo wrote in a sonnet:“Here from chalices helmets and swords are made; the blood of Christ is sold by the bucketful; His cross and thorns are lances and shields – and still Christ shows patience.”

During a conference in January 2022, our Most Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) responded to the ongoing abuse and scandals of the Vatican and Catholic system. “All the governments who did not punish these priests and let them continue in the dark to molest, kill, harm children, they’re all cowards! […] And God will punish you as well, together with the gang. If you don’t do anything to protect your children, to protect your young innocent citizens.” “And especially these priests, if they call themselves God-believers or holy, they should be punished even stronger, because they know the right thing, and they do the opposite, the wrong thing.”

The Christ portrayed in Michelangelo’s art has arrived to execute the most severe judgments. So that we may have a favorable judgment once our time comes, our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) compassionately reminds all human beings to sincerely repent, pray, and be vegan. “If you repent, be vegan, pray for forgiveness sincerely, and remember my name, even if you don’t ask for initiation or be my disciple – I still can help you.”
