In today’s news, European Union supports The Gambia’s coronavirus response, Australian researchers find proof of contemporary human evolution, Singapore promotes rooftop farming to improve food security, Belgium uses mobile suction machine to remove plastic litter, high school robotics team in United States makes free prosthetics, survey reveals many British became meat-free for their partner, and peacekeeper is reunited with companion dog.

Gambian resilience boosted by contribution from Team Europe.

To help partner countries deal with the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences, the European Union launched its “Team Europe” plan earlier this year. By combining resources from the EU, its member states, the European Investment Bank, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Team Europe put together a fund of almost €36 billion. Recently, The Gambia received a disbursement of €25 million that will support the country’s budget at a time when there are unexpected health care expenses, supply chains have been disrupted, and government revenue is low. The European Union, a Shining World Leadership Award for Peace recipient and a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring laureate, is also bolstering The Gambia’s ongoing democratic transition that began in 2017. Our heartfelt applause, European Union and Team Europe members! Your consideration for the wellbeing of our global family merits the world’s constant gratitude and Heaven’s infinite blessings.

Study finds that humans are evolving faster.

Anatomists at Flinders University and the University of Adelaide in Australia have found that about a century ago, infants were born with two arteries in each arm, even though a temporary third median artery contributed to development of the hand in the womb. Nowadays, about 30% of people are keeping their median arteries for life. Elsewhere in the anatomy, babies are arriving in this world with shorter faces, smaller jaws and without wisdom teeth. According to the scientists’ report, published in the Journal of Anatomy, these are all signs that humans are still evolving and at a faster pace than at any time during the past 250 years. We are grateful, Australian researchers, for your eye-opening work. We pray for a coincident evolution in consciousness whereby humanity finally forsakes consuming animals, in Divine benediction.

Up next, Singapore promotes rooftop farming to improve food security. We’ll take a moment to thank the social media strategists, who manage, create, and publish original, high-quality content on social platforms to achieve marketing goals. Hallo, vibrant viewers, I’m Rana, the vegan Rusty-Spotted Cat. I was just thinking how precious life is. Surely you agree, right? Then why not join the club? Go vegan and celebrate life with me! Here are some tips for you when taking your dog on a long flight. (That’s OK, I’m not jealous.) It’s important to make sure they are familiar with and comfortable in their travel crate. You can accomplish this during the weeks prior to your trip by having your pal ride in the crate when you are driving around town. Make it cozy for them by placing a bolster bed inside with an absorbent towel on top. Then, the day before you leave, take your pooch for longer walks or give them extra exercise by playing fetch for a while. If they feel tired the next morning, it may help them to sleep on the plane. Thank you and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. And thanks for tuning in. Now, the weather around the world!

Urban farmers make use of elevated terrace real estate.

Uncertain crop yields due to climate change, trade issues and the COVID-19 pandemic have affected food supply chains around the world. This is of particular concern to Singapore, a densely populated nation that imports 90% of its nutritional needs. To help remedy the situation, rooftop farms have been developed on shopping malls and other structures that afford space. Edible Garden City is one of the companies leading this trend, managing about 80 locations around the country’s capital. They produce more than 50 kinds of fruits and vegetables, including eggplants, papayas, red okra, bananas, passion fruit and leafy greens.  We applaud your promising enterprise, Edible Garden City! You exemplify the wisdom that comes with enlightenment and the resilience that allows communities to triumph, in the grace of the Providence.

Galgeschoor is about 100 hectares of mudflats and salt marshes slightly north of the Port of Antwerp in Belgium. It is home to many unique plants and bird species, but it also collects plastic waste from factories and municipalities all along the river Scheldt. In 2019, the Antwerp port authorities launched a competition for finding a way to remove the endless fragmented litter that is impossible to pick up by hand. The winner was an industrial-strength suction machine on wheels dubbed the “Nul-o-Plastic,” developed by the environmental division of maritime infrastructure company Jan De Nul Group. Testing of the smart invention has proven it effective without damaging plants or otherwise disturbing the environment. Thank you, Jan De Nul Group, for your creative engineering! The more contaminants your device removes, the closer our planet gets to being a paradise again, in Celestial delight.

Volunteers craft artificial body parts for those in need.

e-NABLE is a global, online community of kindhearted designers who make simple prosthetic gadgets for fingers and lower arms. Many of the participants use their own 3D printers to produce the tools, which are provided at low-cost or no charge. Daniel McCrobie, a senior at Sequoyah High School in Georgia, USA, belongs to a robotics team that recently formed an e-NABLE chapter. The experience has profoundly influenced his thinking about what to do with his life. He said, “The idea of designing devices to help people regain full function fascinates me and is something I would never have thought of pursuing had I not gone through with this project.” Bravo, Daniel McCrobie and all e-NABLE volunteers! Earth is a happier place thanks to your selfless service, in God’s light and love.

Coming up, survey reveals many British became meat-free for their partner. We will take a moment to contemplate the heartwarming and inspirational acts of kindness that are happening around the world. More valuable news when we return! Encouragement from family and friends helps people go vegan.

The Fry Family Food Co. commissioned a survey of 2,000 meat-free adults in the UK to find out what motivated them to change their diets. Almost 40% of responders said they adopted this new lifestyle to be in sync with their partner. Other individuals credited their children and friends with influencing their decision to switch to the compassionate, plant-based diet. Tammy Fry Kelly, marketing director for Fry’s, stated, “Whether it’s sharing experiences, advice or handy meal tips, talking to loved ones about the benefits of swapping to a meat-free diet can go a long way in encouraging others to reduce their meat or dairy consumption.” Our deep appreciation, Tammy Fry Kelly and your trendsetting company, for reminding us that “love makes the world go ‘round,” in Heaven’s embrace.

While Sergeant Erin Guthrie was on a peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, she met a lonely stray dog. She was grateful for his company and regretted leaving him when her assignment ended. After returning to the United States, Ms. Guthrie reached out to nonprofit Paws of War, which raised $6,000 and made the necessary arrangements for her four-legged companion – who she named Meeka – to come to the US. Commenting on their reunion, the loving caregiver admitted, “I was nervous that he wouldn’t recognize me, but the fact that he pulls into me just the same way and that he recognizes me, he knows me, and that’s an amazing feeling.” With much gratitude to Paws of War for all your persevering efforts, and we are so happy for you, Sergeant Erin Guthrie, on Meeka’s homecoming. We pray that God will bless you both with long years of mutual affection and guardianship.

Here is a joke to massage your mind today, entitled, “Graduation Speech.”

Trevor was graduating from high school and was supposed to give a speech. He went to the podium and began reading his prepared text.

“I would like to talk about my mother and the tremendous influence she has had on my life. She is a shining example of a supportive and loving parent, and I love her more than words can say.”

At that moment Trevor paused and his brow furrowed. Then he looked up with a sheepish grin and said: “I’m sorry, it’s really hard to read my mother’s handwriting.”

And now we have a heartline from Xiao-Xi in China:

Hallo, It’s been a few weeks since I made an appointment with a non-vegetarian friend to meditate for half an hour at 9 pm every Sunday. Last Sunday, after meditating, my friend suddenly said, “Time passed so fast. It’s already half an hour, but I feel it’s only one or two minutes.” I said to him jokingly, “It’s because you entered into another space of time.” I also reminded him not to tell of any inner experiences again in the future. I was quite surprised and felt happy for him that a non-vegetarian with no meditation experience could progress that much after just meditating three times. I know it’s because our great and compassionate Master has brought the world the universal Divine power to uplift all beings. Xiao-Xi from China

Thoughtful Xiao-Xi, Thank you for writing to us. We are very glad to hear that you and your friend are meeting Sundays to meditate and pray for World Vegan at the same time as our beloved Master to help swiftly achieve a loving planet for all beings. Wishing you both will gain more inner experiences and each become closer to finding your True Self. Please continue on this noble path and reach out to whomever you can to pray for World Vegan. May you, your friend and the hospitable Chinese people forever be protected by the Divine. In Celestial Light, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master also says: “Devoted Xiao-Xi, thank you for encouraging others to pray for World Vegan. It’s the most vital thing for our planet right now to put us on course for humanity’s lasting peace and friendship with the precious animals. May Buddha’s limitless love be with you and intelligent China.”
