And we shall sing it like a “Happy Birthday” tune. Can you guys remember already? (Yes.) OK. Everything is like Happy New Year, and the first one is “Heaven,” the second one is “on Earth,” the third one is “all beings,” the fourth one is “peaceful New Year.” Can you remember now? You smart guys? (Yes.) OK. Let’s sing together. Chinese first, because we are in Taiwan (Formosa). […] “Happy New Year, Heaven. Happy New Year on Earth. Happy New Year, all beings. Happy peaceful New Year.” Now, the English. Very good! We wish for World Peace. Peace in Heaven and on Earth. Peace for everyone, peace for all beings. Maybe this year will be a peaceful year. […]

There will be peace. Just like God has spoken: “There will be Light!” Also, if Hes says there will be peace, there may be peace. We wish! We wish! It seems like we are going to have peace, and pretty soon according to all the news that we have nowadays. Even though we still have a little friction here and there between some, maybe previous-life-incarnation enemies. So, they are ironing out their problems. But it looks like we have more peace now than ever. Is that not so? (Yes.) And it’s going to have more, more peace, and that’s the way it has to be if humans are to survive. Because we have done a lot of damage to this beautiful Being called “Mother Earth” already.

And I hope that we still have enough time to redress it, to correct it, to repair it somehow. So, peace must be. Because in peace, we can rebuild countries; in peace only, we can rebuild human relationships; in peace only, we can attain Heaven.

There’s no other way we can live with each other, ever, except in peace. There are more important things in the world – everyone knows that – to do than to take up a gun and shoot somebody. This is the least thing we could even think of. We should never even think of anything like that in all our whole lifetime. But our brothers and sisters have kind of awakened, somehow, to this urgent, important, and must-be cause. It is the cause of peace. Everybody talks about peace, but we must do something to contribute to it, by loving our neighbors, by stopping doing anything that we think and know is wrong.

Anything wrong, we stop right away. Anything right, we do it right away. And it’s a very simple kind of living. There’s no need to look anywhere else for Heaven, unless we are at peace with our neighbors and within ourselves. As I have told you many times, a young man or young woman grows up from love from their parents. They have been loved since they were born. Before they were born, after they were born, and as they’re growing up, they are thriving, growing in the love of their parents, of their dear friends, of their beloved spouse and children. So, that’s the way they should grow up and live their life – in love, and then in peace.

There’s no one on Earth who should turn that love into hatred and make people go out somewhere to destroy that love, and to destroy somebody else’s love who has done nothing to him personally. That is wrong. That is absolutely wrong! Even in the eyes of human beings, not to talk about in the Eyes of God. We have no need to bring God into any discussion before we start doing something right and living peacefully among each other.

We have many urgent things to do. We have hunger to resolve. We have children who have been starved to death. We have people, elderly, without care. We have animal-people who have been neglected, abused. We have all kinds of little problems here and there, and big problems here and there that we should take care of, so that this life on the planet will be more beautiful. We cannot afford to waste our energy, time and money in killing. We have to spend our time, energy, in love and in building peace. Because, if we don’t stop the war right now – everyone knows – we have no time for anything else. Maybe the winners and the losers in the war may die sooner than the war ends, if our planet ends. I have told you many times already, so there’s no need to repeat here anymore.

But, one thing: I have to thank you, our Association members, over all these years. Especially these years, we have lots of manmade and natural disasters around the world, and you have been very, very compassionate, very diligent, in helping your brothers and sisters in need. And I have to thank you very much. I’m very, very proud of you. Oh! I’m sorry, I speak in English too.

Wow! My God! I intended to speak in Chinese. Since I’ve begun, I will finish it, and then I will talk in Chinese. OK! Translation: “Peace.” Alright? That’s it. I forgot. I spoke in English. I don’t know why? I’ll speak in Chinese later. OK? (OK.) Because there are also foreigners here. Later, I’ll speak in Chinese. Do you have translation? Oh, you have your “magic ears.” OK. Let’s talk Chinese.

What I mean is everyone in this world should be at peace with each other. Because if the wars continue, then we won’t have time to repair our beautiful world. Then our children, our future generations, will have no place to live. We may be destroyed altogether. It doesn’t matter if we are destroyed, because we ourselves have found God. We have insurance. But we should still preserve this world, waiting for our brothers and sisters to catch up. Because if they die so miserably and suddenly like that, it would be difficult for their souls to wake up and to be liberated. That’s why we have been waiting.

While we are waiting, we fix whatever we can fix, especially our fellow initiates, comrades, friends and loved ones. We should begin with ourselves. For instance, we are saving energy. I often tell you that we should use energy-saving light bulbs, which we have done. Now, if we can buy those cars without toxic emissions, go ahead and buy them. If we can go together in one car to go to work, to go shopping, and to take kids to school, etc., then we should go together in one car. Use one car together. This is to save energy, fuel, and minimize toxic emissions. When we are at home, we recycle whatever can be recycled. For example, saving water. Originally, water was free as well, but we have to use electricity to supply water to our home, so water also consumes a lot of energy. Electricity also consumes lots of energy. So, we save whatever we can save. It’s not only a matter of money, but also of saving this world. I have told you many times. Understand? (Understand.) You still remember? OK.

Don’t wait for the neighbors. Whatever we can do, we do it first. When I came back here, I took a taxi. The taxi driver kept asking, asking this and that. I told him, “I am saving on energy. For instance, I have cars at home that don’t emit any toxic emissions – the one that’s newly invented. And I’m also a vegan. Recently, the United Nations announced that raising animal-people for human consumption is the main cause for producing a lot of those toxic gases that are most harmful to our planet. Most poisonous gases are generated by raising animal-people. That’s why we are vegan.” I also told him, “I’m a vegan not just for that reason, but first of all, it’s for compassion.” Then he said, “You are only one vegan, while ten of us are eating animal-people meat. What’s the use?” I said, “I could only begin with myself. If everyone thought like that – ‘I wait for you; you wait for me’ – when would we ever achieve it? So, I see which thing is right and whatever is proper, and I’ll do it first. If my neighbor thinks what I do is right, then he can follow suit. That would be great. If he doesn’t, at least I have done my part, fulfilled my obligation.” Right? (Right.)

I said, “If I see something is right and I don’t do it, then others would think the same way. Everyone would think the same way. If everyone thought like that, then no one would do things right. No one would do anything, even when they see it’s the right thing to do, because ‘I’m the only one doing it, the other ten are not. What is the use?’ It is of use.” Is it of use? (Yes.) Yes. And then I said to him, “For example, in a very dark, huge square, having a couple of lights is still better than nothing. Sometimes, in a very huge house, very dim and very dark, when you come in and light up just one candle, can’t you see a lot?” Right? (Yes.) A big house has been in darkness for hundreds or thousands of years, but it doesn’t matter. You just come in for a minute and light a candle, then you can see the surroundings. And then another person comes after you and sees you light the candle to see things, he also lights a candle. With one more candle, it becomes brighter. That’s what we are doing, one by one, step by step, to influence everyone.

We don’t need to talk at all, because the fact is, sometimes if we talk too much, no one wants to listen. No one listens. Sometimes people can’t hear it clearly. Sometimes very few people listen. Because now you are working on Supreme Master Television, right? Sometimes, you play some video tapes of my lectures from long, long ago. I watched it too and said, “Ah! That Person spoke very well.” And then I said, “But who was listening to Her? Why was She busy running around to give those speeches? Very few people seemed to care about what She said.”

However, we ourselves should really care about it. Understand? It’s a really serious issue. Because we are still in this world, and while we are still in this world, we should do our best to protect the world and all the sentient beings here. When we leave for Heaven, we won’t need to talk about it at all. But while we are still here, we must repair it and protect it. Similarly, if you no longer live in that house as it has been sold to someone else, then there’s nothing you can do. But while you still live in the house, of course, you have to repair and maintain it for your own safety, and for your friends’ safety as well. If you invite guests to come to your house, and it’s falling apart and might collapse at any moment, that wouldn’t be right.

It’s not that we care about material things. But wherever we stay, we should repair it. Right? It is not only for ourselves, but for the whole world. These are material aspects, which actually are not that important to us because we know the way Home. Suppose we don’t have this world; we still have countless other worlds to go to. We know this ourselves, but many people don’t know. While we know that there are other worlds, it doesn’t mean we have the right to ruin this world. Right? (Yes.) Not to mention that we are also in this world. If we want to go to Heaven, we should go leisurely and peacefully, right? Instead of a “bang” and departing in great pain. In Taiwan (Formosa), there’s a saying: “Die with eyes open.” It’s in the Taiwanese (Formosan) language. I know.

But I also said that in these few years, I’ve been feeling very proud of you. Give yourselves some applause. Because you have helped Master to help the world a lot. Help Master to help this world. Every time there is a disaster or suffering somewhere, I just mention it, and off you go. You go to relieve and comfort the victims. That’s how it should be. That’s what humans should do.

In fact, we shouldn’t feel proud at all, but I’m very proud of you. Why? Because you are new learners. You have just started learning and have not reached very high levels. Some are high, but some are low. But whether high or low level, you have a heavy responsibility to the world. Most of you have relatives, friends, family and children, and you have a job and a lot of responsibilities. You need to look after your family, earn money, and take care of yourself. It’s really a lot, a lot of work. Even then, each time, when there’s suffering in the world, you spare your time, effort, and money to go over there for relief efforts. It’s not that you are kings or very rich people. Some do have a lot of money, but those who are not rich also go to help, also contribute money, effort, and energy for the sake of helping other people. So, I’m very proud of you. But you shouldn’t be proud of yourselves. Understand? (Understand.) Very good. Good boys and good girls.
