The quality of your night vision is a good indicator of the health status of your eyes, regardless of age. Here is a tip on how to reduce eye strain with prolonged screen use, especially at night. Using the "Night Light" feature on Windows or “Night Shift” feature on Mac devices can help reduce eye strain and improve your sleep quality. The Night feature adjusts your screen's colors to warmer hues like amber or red, reducing blue light exposure, which can disrupt melatonin production and interfere with sleep. Warmer colors also help reduce eye irritation, fatigue, and the chances of headaches or migraines for those sensitive to bright lights. To enable Night Light, press the Windows key, start typing “night light,” click on it, and select “Turn on now” in the top right corner. Adjust the strength by sliding the bar left or right. For Mac devices, press the Apple Menu, go to ‘System Settings’ then ‘Displays’ and click on the ‘Night shift’ tab. You can choose to schedule Night shift by selecting "Schedule" from the dropdown menu.
