Piano music has its beginnings in the Baroque period between 1600 and 1750. Baroque music is characterized by an energetic rhythm. One of the most important composers of the Baroque period is Bach. The mid 18-century heralded the Classical Period, piano music of this time focused on the exploration of the major-minor system. Among the most loved classical composers of this period was Mozart.
