Since Biblical times and through the millennia to the present day, Arabs and Jews have harmoniously integrated in a variety of ways. According to the Hebrew Bible and the Holy Quran, both Jewish and Muslim peoples are guided by the teachings of Moses (vegetarian). After many generations, when Israelites went into Arab Moabite territory seeking refuge during a period of drought, they were not only sheltered and fed, but also intermarried.

A study of more than 1,300 men from nearly 30 countries has revealed striking biological similarities between the Jews and Arabs. Overall, science tells us that the Jewish and Arabian people are closely related through their shared genetic heritage.

The evolution of Semitic languages is considered a crucial facet of the cultural development of the Middle East over several millennia. Based on their shared language family, the Hebrew word “Shalom” resembles the Arabic word “Salaam,” both meaning peace.

A French manuscript in the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (National Library of France) details how Caliph Umar initiated the reconstruction of the Temple of Jerusalem. Under His leadership, Jews were permitted to build a religious college and a synagogue, as well as to pray in the vicinity of the Temple Mount, the site of Solomon’s Temple.

During a phone call with a member of Supreme Master Television team (all vegans) on May 18, 2021, our Most Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) expressed Her wish for peace between the Palestinian and Israeli nations. “So, I don’t understand why people have to fight for anything at all, for a piece of land, for political differences, or food, or water, or whatever. […] I also hope like you do, that we will see both sides live in peace with each other. And the Palestinians can also claim their own state, so that they settle down and know their rights and their land and their way of life, preserving their own culture, and raising their children in peace and dignity.”
