In today’s news, Pakistan assists Iraq in COVID-19 pandemic response, parts of New South Wales, Australia experience extreme flooding, University of Hong Kong researchers aid coral re-population through 3D-printed reef, United Kingdom study shows exercise is good for adolescent brains, death penalty abolished in Virginia, United States, Austrian plant-based meat brand adds four new products, and 145 dogs in China saved from meat trade arrive in United States.

Pakistan supports pandemic response in Iraq.

Pakistan’s prime minister, His Excellency Imran Khan, a Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance laureate, has directed the Pakistani government to send three plane-loads of COVID relief supplies to Iraq, with one shipment having already been made. Pakistan's Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Chaudhri stated only unity and cooperation between nations could address the worldwide challenge of COVID-19. He also noted that the two countries have had a deep connection for a long period based upon shared faith and values and that there is increasing collaboration between the two in many areas. Thank you, Your Excellency Imran Khan and the government of Pakistan, for your generosity to and care for the fine people of Iraq. May Allah bless Iraq and Pakistan with health, peace, prosperity, and happiness.

Severe flooding turns parts of New South Wales, Australia into inland sea.

The Australian state of New South Wales recently saw the most intense flooding in 60 years in some areas, and parts of the state resembled an inland sea. Bridges, roads, cars and houses across the region were submerged. One meter of rain fell in as little as a few days, and almost 80,000 people evacuated from their homes. The military and local residents worked to aid humans and animals affected by the situation. Unfortunately, two men sadly lost their lives after being trapped in their flooded vehicles. Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) said climate change is influencing the “frequency, magnitude and impacts” of extreme weather. In the Mercy of Heaven, may the New South Wales residents recover quickly from this event and soon regain normalcy in their lives.

Up next, University of Hong Kong researchers aid coral re-population through 3D-printed reef. We will pause for a moment to thank ocean program administrators who help manage and coordinate various activities to ensure a project team’s smooth operation in protecting our ocean ecosystems. We’ll be right back, with more caring news on Supreme Master Television.

Respected viewers, I am Sion the vegan Snowy Owl. You smell so clean and health-full just like me. You must be a vegan, I am right, love you much for that... I have a handy tip for you today. Is your ventilation system working properly in your bathroom? Do you notice humidity lingering for a long period after you shower? The ventilation system should decrease any dampness effectively; therefore, if you observe moisture dripping from the ceiling or mold staining the walls or surfaces in your bathroom, it’s time to inspect your bathroom fan. The exhaust fan may be dirty and needs cleaning or could be damaged and requires replacing. It’s also possible the ventilation system was improperly installed and will need to be repaired by a professional. Love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! And thank you for tuning in. Now the weather around the globe.

University of Hong Kong (HKU) researchers help coral thrive with 3D-printing.

HKU scientists have planted 3D-printed clay tiles on the seabed of Hong Kong’s Hoi Ha Wan marine park to help improve the habitat for corals, fish and other ocean animals. The native coral has experienced mass bleaching and die-offs due to climate change, and the project is helping to restore the coral populations. Tiles containing 400 coral fragments have been set on a 40 square-meter section of the sea floor. The researchers note that when they initially laid the tiles last summer, there were only a few fish around, but now the artificial reef hosts abundant life. Fantastic news, University of Hong Kong scientists, on the success of your 3D-printed reef. In Buddha’s peace, may your initiative help to protect and multiply the beautiful marine beings in the coastal waters surrounding your home.

Exercise may improve adolescent brain health.

A study by Drs. Heidi Johansen-Berg and Piergiorgio Salvan and others from the United Kingdom’s Oxford University has determined there is a definite positive relationship between exercise, fitness and brain health in youth. Fifty twelve-year-old girls and boys who took part in the experiment were fitted with a wrist accelerometer for seven days to track their activity. Later, they each took an aerobic fitness test to measure oxygen consumption. Through MRI brain scans of the adolescents, researchers found that the participants who were more fit had a larger amount of blood flowing through their brains and also more glial cells in the brain’s white matter, which are responsible for metabolic and structural support. Thank you, Drs. Heidi Johansen-Berg Dr. Piergiorgio Salvan, and team, for your important investigation. In Heaven’s Grace, may all young people embrace greater daily physical activity to lead more balanced and healthy lives.

Virginia, United States abolishes death penalty.

In March 2021, Virginia’s governor, the Honorable Ralph Northam, signed into law a bill ceasing the practice of capital punishment. Virginia is the first southern state in the US to do so. Governor Northam said: “It is the moral thing to do to end the death penalty.” Virginia joins 22 other US states and 170 United Nations member countries that have done away with executions. Since 1973, there have been 170 lives saved from death row in the United States after evidence later proved their innocence. Our deep appreciation, the Honorable Ralph Northam and the State of Virginia, for recognizing that all lives are precious as God resides in each of us. May all beings be forever protected in the gracious benevolence of the Divine. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Leadership Award for Good Governance to the Honorable Ralph Northam with high esteem and praises for your noble and wise decision. May you and the fine people of Virginia forever know God's grace.”

Coming up, Austrian plant-based meat brand adding four new products. We’ll just pause for a moment to make some fresh orange juice in the kitchen using a juicer. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more praiseworthy news. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Fortunate News for a Lucky World.

Austrian-based vegan meat company launches four new products.

Austria’s vegini has joined the alternative seafood market segment with a plant-based fish finger called Crispy Torpedos, with other new offerings being Oriental Falafel, Grillmix, and raw Mini Sausages. Speaking of the vegan fish, Andreas Gebhart, founder and CEO of vegini said, “With our product, we torpedo the mass fishing industry and offer a sustainable alternative, so that our overfished oceans can recover. At the same time our Crispy Torpedos are free from animal suffering, free from heavy metals, and as all vegini products free from flavor enhancers and preservatives.” The company’s other items are also made with pea protein and include Pulled Chunks Mediterranean Herbs, Pepperfilet, Schnitzerl, burgers and many more. Way to go, vegini, for rolling out new plant-based fare! May the global food industry soon choose compassion and change to meat alternatives to protect the animals and environment and our lives.

Dogs in China rescued from meat trade come to United States.

China Rescue Dogs, a US-based non-profit, recently flew 145 canines from China to New York, United States. The pooches were saved from slaughterhouses and the meat trade, as well as from abusive situations. Sixty more dogs are waiting in China for fundraising to accumulate the approximately US$30,000 needed to pay for the flight to transport them. All canines have been quarantined, vaccinated, and microchipped and are ready to start a new life with their loving, forever families throughout Canada and the US. Jill Stewart, the organization’s founder, expressed her delight, saying: “I become so emotional knowing how much joy and unconditional love they are now bringing to their new families.” Bravo, Jill Stewart, China Rescue Dogs staff and all involved in freeing the lovely canines. May our gentle animal friends know only love and forever happiness in God’s tender embrace. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Compassion Award to China Rescue Dogs with US$30,000 so that the rest of the dogs can be all rescued in humble support for your worthy cause. May Heaven always shield those involved as you find loving homes for the vulnerable, precious canine lives.”

They say laughter is the best medicine! Please join us for the joke of the day entitled “Fire Truck.”

When a small village decided to buy a new fire truck, the town council met to decide what to do with the previous one. Jerry, an older man, stood up.

“I think we should keep the old truck. We can use it for false alarms!”

And now we have a heartline from Kim in the United States:

Dear Sisters and Brothers, I found one of my notes from at least 25 years ago, and it’s so true regarding what our Master and our dedicated sisters and brothers have done for our world now. I hope that this story, if it is shared on Supreme Master TV, may motivate more sisters and brothers to work, to help, to find the source of continual life.

This is the story: I had a strange dream about 25 years ago, that I went to a school and had a teacher for moral and spiritual study. This area had a drought so bad that there was nothing to live on and no water to drink. People were so miserable, and some advised me to leave, as many had already left this place. One day, I did not go to school because I thought nothing was there, and my teacher could probably not do anything about this tribulation. But later, when I eventually went back to school, I found that the dedicated students had dug a well. When I looked, the ground was dug up, but there was no water; I was disappointed. But I was totally wrong! My teacher and friends had found the underground water source, but the waterline was very low. My school friends drew the water into a piece of paper little by little and squeezed it into a tub to share with everyone. I felt ashamed that I wasn't helping, but at the same time I had learned a lesson.

* My teacher had given his best, even though the place was arid, but some people had not given their best strength, so they had not helped. The area was, in fact, not a dead land, it had the potential for life.

* My friends did not give up. In this world, there are people who really love others; they give up their own joy and happiness to save lives.

* I learned I have to live to do what suits me and what is best for others.

This dream is now totally true; our Master and Her dedicated students have worked all of their lives to find the source of continued life for others. With Master's Love and Blessing, Kim from the United States

Mindful Kim, We appreciate you sharing your story and hope that others can be motivated as well to work for the betterment of our world, especially during this urgent time. May we all join hands in building a peaceful and prosperous tomorrow by being vegan and saving all animals’ lives today. Together we pray with our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai for Heaven to reign on Earth soon. May you and the exemplary citizens of America be showered with God’s Love and Grace. In Divine guidance, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master has some words for you: “Gracious Kim, your story’s lessons of keeping hope alive and being selfless are invaluable ones. Just as in your dream, we must not give up in our efforts to constructively change our world; we can have a beautiful, peaceful future by creating World Vegan through prayer and spreading the good news of the vegan diet. May the Providence forever watch over you and the mighty United States.”
