In today’s news, New Zealand provides multi-year financial support to smallholder farmers across Africa, major UK biodiversity report calls for a shift to plant-based food, electric flying taxis planned for take-off in America, Australian state announces program to help businesses develop low carbon emission technologies, high school teen musician from United States gives inspiring performance, Chinese chef publishes 1,000 plant-based recipes online, and golden retriever heroically rescued after weeks lost in icy Irish mountains.

New Zealand supports smallholder farmers in Africa.

The government of New Zealand contributed about US$5 million to Farm to Market Alliance (FtMA) to help smallholder farmers across Africa improve their businesses. Of the total amount, close to US$3 million has been committed to Rwanda through the World Food Programme (WFP) to scale up the support for 200,000 smallholder farmers over the next three years. Funds will be channelled through FtMA Rwanda to help the recipients rise out of poverty through better education and land and crop management. The new funding is timely as people are experiencing shortage of food due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New Zealand is a recipient of Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Peace, and a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Climate-Change Mitigation, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Earth Conservation, Earth Protection, Earth Guardian, and Earth Restoration. Thank you, New Zealand, Farm to Market Alliance, and the World Food Programme, for your efforts to create a more secure and prosperous world. May the livelihood of many people improve over time through God’s grace and blessings.

Landmark UK study urges for a shift away from animal products to save our natural world.

An “immensely important” assessment commissioned by Her Majesty’s Treasury has warned that many of our planet’s precious “natural systems are now on the verge of breakdown” due to profound damage caused by human economic activities. In its urgent call to address alarming biodiversity loss, the 606-page report proposed large-scale changes to our food and energy systems, including a shift towards plant-based diets, which “reduce significantly land use and environmentally damaging inputs.” His Excellency Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has expressed support for the comprehensive review, which is expected to be used to shape future public policy. The United Kingdom is a laureate of the Shining World Leadership for Caring Award, Shining World Wise Leadership Award, and Shining World Leadership Awards for Protection, Animal Protection and Kindness. Our appreciation, Your Excellency Boris Johnson and all involved, in producing this important report. May countries around the globe collaborate to create a sustainable vegan world, in Divine protection.

Up next on Noteworthy News, electric flying taxi service planned in America. We’ll just take a moment to thank the smartphone assembly workers who assemble all parts of the phone including the LCD screen, front-facing and back-facing cameras, home button, ear jacks, and all the tiny screws, for an elegant finished product. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more forward-thinking news.

Hallo, Earth-loving friends, it’s Colin the vegan Capercaillie. You know what makes me so cool? My lifestyle! It’s healthy, sustainable, beautiful – it’s vegan! So, what are you waiting for? Give it a try! Here is a tip to help improve your neck posture. Select a firm sleeping pillow that supports your head and the natural arch of your neck in the neutral position, not too high or low. It is also a good idea to perform the following daily neck exercises a couple times a day. One, gently tilt your head forward and tuck your chin onto your chest. Hold still for five seconds and then return to upright position. Two, turn your head to the left and hold for five seconds, doing the same for the right side. Three, lean your head to the side until you feel a gentle stretch on the opposite side of the neck. Relax, breathe and hold for five seconds, and then do the same to the other side. And remember, when you think positive thoughts and express gratitude for the natural world around you, your head will be in the best position ever! Thank you for tuning in. Love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. And now, the worldwide weather.

United States startup to bring flying taxis to the public.

Aerospace company Archer Aviation recently unveiled a fully electric aircraft (eVTOL) that could soon transport passengers in urban areas, reducing time and carbon emissions. It currently seats a single pilot and four passengers, but founders Brett Adcock and Adam Goldstein said there will eventually be a self-piloting capability, with autonomous systems that would increase safety. The eVTOL takes off and lands vertically like a helicopter and thus does not require a runway. Ninety-six kilometers can be covered on a full charge at a speed of up to 241 kilometers per hour. While awaiting certification by the Federal Aviation Administration, Archer has announced that it will first introduce its taxi fleet by 2024 in Los Angeles, where commuting is a known challenge. Thank you, Archer Aviation, for creating such a futurist invention to make transport more convenient and cleaner. May humanity make intelligent leaps forward in all aspects for a better world.

Australian state allocates funds for clean technologies.

The New South Wales Minister for Energy and Environment, The Honorable Matt Kean, has announced a grant of over US$575 million to help businesses develop low emission technologies. The New Zero Industry and Innovation Program has been established as part of the state government’s goal to reach zero net carbon emissions. The program will focus on the industrial emitters, which represent a significant amount of total carbon production and are a major consumer of fossil fuels. The funding will assist these industries to shift to low emissions manufacturing, invest in green hydrogen production, and fund new clean technology research and development. New South Wales is a recipient of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and a Shining World Leadership Award for Protection; as well as a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion and Caring laureate. An admirable initiative, New South Wales and The Honorable Matt Kean. We pray more governments soon follow your lead while also implementing Vegan Law for the effective protection of our precious Earth.

American teen recognized for her musical talent.

Fifteen-year old Millie Meunier of Floyd Central High School in Indiana state created “a happy bluegrass video” for her radio-TV class assignment that asked students to “make a feel-good video” during recent COVID-19 homestay restrictions. Her outstanding performance received over one million views on the school’s YouTube page, with many happy viewer comments posted from all over the world. The piece was a rendition of “Foggy Mountain Breakdown,” a famous piece of the American bluegrass genre. The talented teenaged artist wrote background music for each instrument, and produced and edited her captivating performance playing five different instruments. Millie began playing the piano at age five and later learned to play the viola, the fiddle, the banjo, mandolin and guitar. Bravo, Millie Meunier, for your incredible musical talent! May you continue uplifting spirits through music, in God’s infinite creative energy.

Coming up, Chinese vegetarian chef publishes 1,000 plant-based recipes online. We’ll pause for a moment to pray for the safety and comfort of the unsheltered people who spend their nights by the side of the streets. We’ll be right back with more thoughtful news here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Inspiring News for an Optimistic World.

Chinese chef shares 1,000 veg recipes on social media platform.

After switching to a plant-based diet three years ago, young chef Xiang Yu from Anhui Province, China, recently published 1,000 veg recipes on his social media site “Teaching Vegetarian Food” to share his enthusiasm for the lifestyle. The mostly vegan dishes are categorized into 13 sections, namely, appetizer/cold dishes, steamed vegetables, soups, rice/porridges, noodles, flour-based, beverages, snacks, sauces, pastries, breakfast and hot entrées. Each recipe comes with useful tips and attractive, step-by-step photo or video guides. Speaking about his diet change as the most important development in his life, Xiang Yu said, “I hope to expand the vegetarian sphere and make vegetarian a mainstream diet embraced by everyone.” Our supportive kudos and appreciation, veg chef Xiang Yu. In Heaven’s love, may all quickly transition to the wholesome and deliciously versatile plant-based way.

Hikers save dog lost on icy mountain.

Dr. Jean Francois Bonnet and Dr. Ciara Nolan, both physicians in Ireland, were recently hiking the Wicklow Mountains in sub-zero temperatures when they found a dog stranded near the peak. Neesha, an eight-year-old Golden Retriever, was extremely cold, very weak and unable to walk. The caring couple wrapped her in a spare ski jacket and strapped her to Dr. Bonnet’s back with a scarf, and then hiked the 10 kilometers back down the icy trail. Neesha has since been reunited with her overjoyed human companions and has received veterinarian care. Her family had been desperately searching for their beloved girl for the whole two weeks she was missing and called her return “a pure miracle.” Our gratitude, Dr. Jean Francois Bonnet and Dr. Ciara Nolan, for your efforts that saved a precious life. May the Providence keep sweet Neesha and her loved ones well and safe always.

Bet you’ll feel better after a laugh! Here comes the joke of the day, entitled “Window Seats.”

At the airport check-in counter, a woman asked for window seats for both her and her husband. The clerk pointed out that this would prevent them from sitting together.

“Sweetie, I’ve just spent ten days of ‘quality time’ in a compact rental car with this man. I KNOW what I’m requesting!”

And now we have a heartline from Indah in Indonesia:

Dear Master Ching Hai and Supreme Master TV team, Every time I watch Supreme Master TV, I am filled with amazement and happiness. Supreme Master TV programs have inspired us and raised people’s hopes for a better, more peaceful and more harmonious world. Through Supreme Master TV, I get a lot of knowledge and wisdom, both about the latest developments in world progress and various mysteries of the universes. Master’s teachings about the secrets and hierarchy of the universes is something new to me, as well as knowledge of reincarnation and the cycle of transmigration. I never thought of those things before. By watching Supreme Master TV, I explore various issues with broader and deeper perspectives. As a Christian, I have worshiped Jesus Christ since childhood. I felt the distant presence of Jesus embedded in my heart. Master’s lectures on “Between Master and Disciples” have helped me to understand the teachings of Jesus from the Holy Bible easier; it is easier to absorb. Thank You so much, Supreme Master Ching Hai, for helping me feel full of Jesus’ warmth and love in my daily life. Thank You, and deep respect to the Supreme Master TV team members, who work hard and are committed to presenting fascinating and beautiful programs.
