In Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association Relief News from the United States…
Guided by our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Love in action, our Association members in San Francisco, California, USA, continued a longstanding tradition of providing Thanksgiving relief aid to unhoused individuals. This initiative began after a lecture Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) gave at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco on November 27, 1993. Afterward, Master lovingly distributed warm sleeping bags and vegan food at a local shelter, bringing joy and comfort to those in need. By following Master’s compassionate example of unconditional love, our Association members have continued this relief effort every year since.
Master said: “Loving souls, thank you all for being truly caring and generous in helping our friends in need. May God always Love and Bless you.”
On November 22, 2025, our Association members joyfully gathered at the Loving Hut Vegan Restaurant in San Francisco to prepare relief bags for distribution. Working with care and precision, the team assembled 100 colorful, reusable bags. Each bag contained a warm sleeping bag and a basic hygiene kit with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Recipients were also treated to a sweet beverage and a fresh, warm Thanksgiving meal featuring vegan fried rice topped with vegan turkey and gravy, courtesy of Loving Hut San Francisco. In addition, vegan food and treats were prepared for unhoused dog-people living on the streets with their caretakers. A Supreme Master Television MAX card and a vegan information flier were also included in each bag. As the team worked, restaurant patrons looked on with admiration, asking to take photos of the Association members’ red and yellow “Vegans R Heroes” clothing designed by our Beloved Master. One inspired patron stood up from her meal, exclaiming, “I want to help!” She gladly assisted with loading the relief bags into vehicles.
Our Association members then distributed the relief bags to some of the most vulnerable individuals and their animal companions in the community. The unhoused recipients joyfully accepted the gifts, with many requesting extra bags to share with fellow unhoused friends. One man in a wheelchair, sitting alone on the sidewalk, immediately opened his bag and began eating, sharing that the warm meal was his Thanksgiving dinner. Another gentleman was accompanied by his dog-person companion, Lucy, who wagged her tail happily upon seeing the team and grew even more excited when she received her vegan food.
We are deeply grateful to Master and the Three Reunited Most Powerful for teaching us the true joy of selfless service and sharing. As we reflect on Master’s teachings to be vegan, keep peace, and do good deeds, we sincerely wish that Master’s Love reaches all beings on Earth. In Heaven’s loving embrace, may all beings be comforted with shelter, love, and abundance.
