It’s not that they come down and they’ll continue to be at the same Sixth or Seventh Level, without making any effort. It’s not possible.

(Dear Master, I’m so nervous when seeing You. Master, can I ask… I have some difficulties in spiritual practice, please help me. When I meditate, I often see things that startle me. I am scared when I wake up.) Is that so? What are you afraid of? What happened? (I don’t want to say in details, because it’s a long story.) Ghosts, right? Were ghosts coming? (I saw many beings who came and screamed.) Oh, ghosts came to tease you. (When I sleep, I dream about them, and wake up feeling scared.) Oh, is that so? You had some boyfriends who became ghosts.
Don’t be afraid of ghosts. You would be stupid to fear ghosts. (Please help me, so I…) If you die, you’ll become a ghost, so, what are you afraid of? (Yes.) Right? Whoever dies will become a ghost anyhow. If they didn’t practice spiritually, they’d become ghosts. So, your relatives before, including your parents, all became ghosts. Then why are you afraid of ghosts? Ghosts are your relatives. Relatives before, understand? (Yes.) Now, if you’re afraid of ghosts, then quickly practice spiritually, or you will become like them. Know it. They came to warn you: “If you don’t practice, then you’ll be like us.” See that? (Yes. Master, please help me to be more enlightened, more elevated.) You turn on the tape... (Yes, I listen to Your talk day and night.) Day and night. You listen when you’re meditating? (No, before meditating, I listen for about 15 or 20 minutes, then I turn it off.) No, leave it on all the time. (Yes. I can leave it on all the time.) Turn the volume very low. (Yes.) You may not hear it, but the ghosts can. Let them listen to the tape, then they’ll forget to tease you. They’ll keep listening to the tape and forget everything else.
(Dear Master, many times I walk across a bridge, which breaks and I fall into a pit.) Falling into a pit? (Yes. Water comes up to my nose.) Oh man! (It was in my dream.) Just in your dream, but you still survived. My God! Just a dream, what to be afraid of? (I was so scared, I…) No, no. It was just a dream, don’t be scared. Mom, you’re not afraid of the real things, but afraid of things in your dream. I said it already, whoever dies will become a ghost, so what are you afraid of? But if you are afraid, then you must practice spiritually. Understand? (Yes.) If not, then when you die, you’ll become a ghost like them. Sometimes, worse than them even. You might be worse than them.
(Dear Master, I had many good inner experiences before. I always met the inner Master.) And now, suddenly you met ghosts? (Yes, I…) Why is that? (I don’t know.) Or because you ate something? (No. When I eat, I check very carefully, and I meditate very regularly.) Ah, I am sure it’s one of your bad times. (Yes, thank You, Master.) When you pass that state, the ghosts will leave. That’s OK. (Yes.)
Try to recite the Buddha’s Name. Listen to the tape all the time, even during meditation. (Yes.) Leave the lights on. (Yes. Thank You, Master.) You can cover your eyes to make it dark. If you don’t want to see the light, then you can use the thing that they give you on the airplane to cover the eyes and sleep well. You use it to cover your eyes, and leave the lights on outside. Understand? (Yes.) You can leave the lights on, and play the tape of my lectures or sutra chanting. (Yes.) Or singing tapes. Whatever makes you feel peaceful, then leave it on all the time. (Yes.) If the ghosts like my singing, then you play those singing tapes. If the ghosts like the sutra chanting, then you play that. Whichever is effective, you play that one. (Yes.) Just leave it on all the time, even when you meditate. It’s OK. You can listen while meditating. Let the ghosts be busy listening, and they will be saved too.
(Yes. Dear Master, my life is very peaceful and safe.) Then it’s OK already. (It is very good. I only get scared when I dream.) Then you leave the tape playing all night on low volume. (Yes.) Sometimes, leave it on low volume, you can sleep well. (Yes. I do listen all night long.) No wonder, last night I also saw like that in my dream. So, it was you who brought your gang here. Please take them somewhere else. I don’t have time to talk to ghosts. Even the living don’t listen to what I say, much less the ghosts. Right? It’s fine. (Yes. Thank You, Master.) It’s alright. I told you already, before, I didn’t have a lot of money. I didn’t do business back then. I didn’t do business yet, so I didn’t have a lot of money, and I rented only haunted houses. Yes, it was a haunted house. In Âu Lạc (Vietnam), it’s called the haunted house, there were real ghosts in there. Every house I rented had ghosts. And the haunted houses were cheap to rent. And they really had ghosts. When the renunciates slept, ghosts pulled their legs, their hair… It was fun! No problem. No one died. They’re still alive and well until now. Don’t be afraid. They should be afraid of us because we are “yang” (positive). (I am not afraid, but I keep seeing them in my dream.) When you dream about them, just ignore it, like you see the horror cinema. Many people spend a lot of money to go see those horror movies, so that they can be scared for fun. And you… And you, huh? You watch a free movie every day, why do you still complain? Right? Many people have to spend money to go see a horror movie.
(Yes. I just worry that my spiritual practice is not...) OK, OK. Let it be. Your job is to continue practicing, their job is to tease you. No problem. (Yes. I thank You.) No problem. You had good inner experiences before, you’ll have them again later. OK? (Yes, yes.) Alright. Anyone else? Quickly. I don’t have time. I’ll go see cinema now. See that? See that? When I let you talk, then you don’t talk. Just sit motionlessly over there. When someone else talks, then you want to jump in. They talk in English, and you want to jump in with Aulacese (Vietnamese). No question? Then I let the Chinese talk. OK, forget it. Finished. The Aulacese (Vietnamese) don’t want to ask, then it’s the Chinese’s turn.
Chinese. Chinese can ask now. Chinese can start asking. Be quick. (Master.) Grandma, better ask a good question. (It’s about meditation. I’ve been covering myself with a piece of cloth while doing the [inner Heavenly] Sound meditation. My grandchildren are not living with me. One day, they came from outside while I was doing the [inner Heavenly] Sound meditation, and covered with a piece of cloth.) And he uncovered your cloth? (He bent down and looked at me, like this.) Peeping. (I had no idea how long he had looked. I didn’t know.) Oh, my God! (I felt that the cloth on my head was moving. I opened my eyes and jumped up with surprise.) Taken aback. (Hallo, Master. You mentioned in our last gathering that Beings from the Sixth and Seventh Level had come down here. Now They’ve not reached the Fourth Level yet. Master once said, “Beings above the Fifth Level cannot come down.”) He didn’t want to come down. But if it’s my people, I can bring him down here. It’s very difficult for him alone, and he wouldn’t want to. For example, if it doesn’t concern me, normally a Being from the Sixth or Seventh Level would not want to come down here, even if you beg him. It’d be too difficult for him. But if he follows me to come down, then he’s OK. He’s willing to and also has Master’s Protection. But, there are heavy karma when coming down to this world. It’s not his karma. It’s just he’ll be infected. Do you understand? He’ll be affected, be drawn in.
Because once he’s born here as an innocent child, he’ll eat whatever is fed to him. If you give him [animal-people] meat, he eats [animal-people] meat. How can he resist his parents’… How can he be able to resist as a baby? He’s been fed with [animal-people] meat ever since babyhood. For example like that. Or else, if he’s not fed by his parents, other negative people around would feed him the same. Then, how can he ever resist? And then, by eating this, drinking that, he incurs karma, and then gets contaminated. Understand what I mean? (Understand.) Then, after growing up, also with… Because of having this mind and this body, it’s the same as other humans. Except the soul.
When I was just born, it’s not that I immediately went looking for an enlightened Master. I still mingled with others, going to school, and so on. I also had to go through this and that, and suffered from things. Just like everybody else. The same with Shakyamuni Buddha. The same with Jesus Christ. Understand what I mean? After coming down here, you’re blurred. How nice if you can still know everything after coming down here! Then why should I teach you? You know everything already. Why the need for me or whoever else to come down here? That’s how it is after coming down to this world. That’s my point. What I mean is I don’t blame you for your hardship; I just encourage you to try your best, otherwise, we’ll lose.
