It’s been noted that COVID-19 cases have recently surged in several countries, often presenting with mild symptoms. However, research indicates that even ‘mild’ cases of COVID-19 can have lasting detrimental effects on heart health. MRI scans have revealed abnormal findings in the lungs, brain, and kidneys of COVID-19 patients compared to a group of people without the virus.
