In today’s news, United Nations agency sends core winter relief items to Afghanistan, United States study demonstrates COVID vaccines becoming less effective with Delta variant’s spread, coffeehouses in Seoul, Korea, implement city plan to reduce disposable cup use, researchers from Great Britain find affordable method to convert wastewater to hydrogen, formerly incarcerated man helps others transition after their time in prison, European Parliament votes to move away from intensive animal-people factories and towards plant-based agriculture, and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Australia seeks to legally protect racehorse-persons from whipping.

United Nations agency sends vital aid to Afghanistan.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Central Asia sent 100 metric tons of basic relief supplies from Termez airport in Uzbekistan to Mazar-e-Sharif in northern Afghanistan by truck. All the items are meant to help the Afghan people get ready for the winter. Dumitru Lipcanu, UNHCR’s Deputy Representative for Central Asia, explained, “We believe this new route of aid delivery will contribute to global efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and to help millions of people affected by it.” Our sincere accolades, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Mr. Dumitru Lipcanu, for your persistent, creative, and compassionate efforts in helping the faithful Afghan people. In Allah’s Blessings, may Afghanistan move forward with quick improvements in national welfare, so that all Afghan citizens can live in peace, abundance and harmony.

United States study shows COVID-19 vaccines lost effectiveness due to Delta strain.

Researchers from the Public Health Institute in Oakland, the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in San Francisco, and the University of Texas Health Science Center recently conducted a study on the effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines over time in a population of 800,000 US veterans and found that their ability to protect against the infection had declined. Specifically in the participants over the age of 65, the effectiveness was reduced from 89% to 58% with the Moderna inoculation, from 87% to 45% with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and from 86% down to just 13% for the Johnson & Johnson’s product. Protection against the likelihood of death for this particular age group was also reduced, ranging between 52% with the Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine and 76% with the Moderna compared to not being vaccinated at all. Our appreciation, researchers, for helping to highlight the increasing ineffectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines, so that people can make informed decisions about wearing masks and protecting themselves in other ways. In the mercy of the Providence, may the citizens of the world soon deal with the root cause of the pandemic and stop eating animal-people. Vegan: cuz we don’t eat our relatives n friends. The animal-people r our relatives n friends.

Up next, coffeehouses in Seoul, Korea, implement city plan to reduce disposable cup use. Let’s give an enthusiastic hoorah to the men and women who lovingly pick those delectable avocados so that we may enjoy them on our toast or in our salsas! Hats off to you! Please stay with us for more wonderful news on Supreme Master Television.

Good day, radiant viewers! I’m Shadi, a vegan guy from the Secretary Bird kingdom. Let’s spread our wings of compassion and live the loving vegan way together. That will surely lead us to peace and harmony. We have a useful tip for you today. Make sure you distinguish wax paper from parchment paper, as they look almost identical to each other but have vastly different properties. Wax paper helps absorb moisture, but it is not heat-resistant and will melt at elevated temperatures. This can cause it to catch on fire. Therefore, please make sure you are using parchment paper to line baking sheets or cake pans prior to placing them in a hot oven. Thank you for tuning in, and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now the weather around the globe!

Seoul, Korea coffeehouses work together to eliminate disposable cups.

The Seoul city government is partnering with about 20 coffee shops in the central part of the capital city to implement a plan to put an end to the use of disposable cups in cafes. For a nominal fee, the coffeehouses lend their customers reusable tumblers for takeout orders. The customers receive a cash refund or digital points when they return the containers. Twelve Starbucks outlets are participating as well as other franchise and independent coffee shops. If successful, Seoul plans to expand its environmentally friendly endeavor. Seoul is a Shining World Leadership Award for Protection laureate. Kudos, Seoul city government and cafes, for a great idea that increases the pleasure of a cup of coffee! May your collaboration that is helping to save the environment continue to grow, in Heaven’s generosity.

British researchers find efficient method to convert sewerage to hydrogen.

Scientists from the University of Warwick, in the United Kingdom, have discovered a new way of filtering sewerage and generating hydrogen at the same time. Previous techniques were too costly to use on an industrial scale; however, the new innovation utilizes recycled carbon fiber mats, which brings the cost down significantly and generates 18-times the hydrogen compared to an approach using graphite. Microbial electrolysis cells are used, with electromagnetic microorganisms processing the organic pollution in the water. During testing, up to 100% of suspended solids were removed, as well as 51% of organic pollutants. Way to go, researchers from the University of Warwick, on your new method to purify sewage water and produce useful hydrogen in the process. In Celestial light, may your ongoing tests result in a system that can be used worldwide as we move towards a truly circular economy.

Former inmate in United States now helps previous incarcerees to thrive.

After Jason Wang got out of a maximum security prison in Texas, he faced challenges common to many released from incarceration. With the love and support of his mother, Jason was able to earn a master’s degree in business and science. He then founded the non-profit FreeWorld to help other returning citizens get well-paid jobs and reintegrate into society. FreeWorld pays for truck-driving school and also assists the formerly incarcerated individuals with housing and transportation as well as provides them with a sense of community. As a testament to the organization’s success, FreeWorld graduates have a recidivism rate of less than one percent, compared to the usual 67.8% within three years of being released. You’re a true inspiration, Jason Wang! May you continue positively transforming lives with your love and belief in humanity, in Heaven’s grace. “Be on guard, so that your hearts do not become heavy with the eating of flesh and with the intoxication of wine […].” ~ Luke, Evangelion Da-Mepharreshe (Old Syriac manuscript of the Gospels)

Coming up, European Parliament votes to move away from intensive animal-people factories and towards plant-based agriculture. We are going to take a short walk around the lake and get some fresh air. We’ll return with more munificent news on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Conscientious News for a Humane World.

European Parliament approves strategy to shift away from intensive animal-people factories.

The European Union’s European Parliament recently approved the “Farm to Fork Strategy” report, which will guide the continent’s move away from large-scale animal-people factories and towards environmentally friendly organic and plant-based agriculture. The plan stresses that industrial animal-people raising increases the risk of zoonotic diseases spreading and seeks to prohibit the caging of people from the animal kingdom in such operations possibly by 2027. The report acknowledges that the current food system is not within the bounds of planetary sustainability and that the new path will transition Europe’s food consumption patterns toward plant-based and away from meat and ultra-processed products. The European Union is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection; as well as a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring. Great news, European Parliament, on your vote to shift towards a sustainable, organic, plant-based agricultural system. In Divine benevolence, may your strategy be quickly implemented as your noble and compassionate ideals spread across the world, so we may restore the health of our planetary home.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Australia defends racehorse-persons in Tasmania.

The non-profit has filed criminal charges against the Tasmanian state racing authority, Tasracing, for breaking the Australian state’s animal-people welfare laws by allowing jockeys to whip horse-persons during races. Representatives from PETA Australia and other groups initially attempted to resolve the issue with Tasracing outside of the court system, but no agreement could be reached. If their legal action is successful, PETA Australia may also file charges in other states of Australia, and other PETA entities globally may take similar action to help protect racehorse-people from abuse. Researchers have proven that the whipping of people of the horse kingdom does not make them run faster, and one horse-person is usually hit 15 to 20 times per race. Three cheers, PETA Australia, for your protection of our gentle horse-people friends. In God’s magnanimous Love, may your legal case be a success with a quick cessation of racehorse-people whipping in Tasmania and worldwide.

If you ever want to break the ice in awkward situations, remember this joke! It’s titled, “Best Friends are Forever.”

“You know, son, the older you get, the harder it is to lose weight.”

“Why is that?”

“Because by then, you and your chubby parts are best friends.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Esmail in Afghanistan:

Greetings to dear and the Most Esteemed Master Ching Hai! I am an engineer from Afghanistan. Since August 23, 2020, I have known You via the Supreme Master Television channel and I have been watching Your programs until now. I am delighted that You are broadcasting numerous programs in many different languages through Supreme Master Television. Thank You for giving information about compassion to animal-people, protecting the environment and Earth from the effects of greenhouse gases, and controlling global warming, health, and other vital issues around the world.

The most exciting aspect of Your programs for me is that You love and respect animal-persons and other beings who do not have a voice like humans. Indeed, we should consider compassion towards animal-people and their protection as a responsibility of our faith and conscience, because we humans are the pinnacle of God’s creation. Similarly, most of Your benevolent ideas are very close to our Holy teachings. Master Ching Hai! I pray that people around the world live in peace and tranquility.

Also, in Afghanistan, recently, after the big change of peace and the withdrawal of US troops, the fighting has subsided. And we thank God that every new day is better than the day before. The security is increasing in the country of Afghanistan and getting better already. I wish for You also a life filled with increasing safety, peace, prosperity, and endless joy every day.

I’d also like to mention that I am the first Afghan to write to You as a vegan. Incidentally, our Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) has also emphasized compassion toward all beings. But sadly, people do what they wish anyway. With the new government of Afghanistan, where we have more opportunities, I would like to work and encourage people to have compassion for animal-people, better care for the environment, and prevent air pollution. This is indeed the duty of every human being.

Dear Master, another issue is the pollution of telecommunication signals that people in Afghanistan and throughout the world are unaware of, despite the physicians’ advice. Regardless of that, people talk for hours (on a mobile phone) and are unaware of its side effects. I would appreciate it if You could broadcast some programs to encourage the prevention of such pollution to help people avoid developing brain cancer... I am deeply grateful to God that I had the opportunity to write a few lines from my heart and thank You for Your tireless efforts. The first message from Afghanistan, Esmail! I love You and Your esteemed viewers and all the people of the world!

Passionate Esmail, Thank you for your wise words. We feel encouraged to hear that things are more peaceful now in your nation.

Here is Master’s reply to you: “Noble Esmail, I am so elated to know a compassionate vegan, true Muslim. Oh, Allah is great! Your radiant, loving note fills my being with joy and gladness as it’s from the Land that is of much concern for me recently. It eases my heart as I reflect on your positive thoughts regarding the way forward for Afghanistan.

You are right about tele-radiation’s harmful side effects. Users of telephones, televisions, and computers should equip themselves with protective devices, available for purchase even online. We have mentioned this, elsewhere on our Television before. And by this opportunity, we can remind them again. Thank you so much for caring.

Through loving-kindness to the people of the animal kingdom as well as to our fellow men and women, we will achieve a vegan world, global peace and abundance, as this will please the Most Merciful Allah. And you are right again: as indeed, the Prophet, Peace Be Upon Him, did teach mercy for the animal-people. We can read that repeatedly in the Holy Koran and Hadith. We have recently aired parts of those precious teachings! Thank you for reminding us.

Love to you and your resplendent Afghan co-citizens. May you and your Afghan co-citizens be guided by the Light of the Prophet Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Him, and may Allah bless your country, as we have presented in recent programs. All who watched those shows about Afghanistan’s Culture and Heritage on our Television surely would love to know more. I myself loved them so much, and feel awed, impressed about this Lofty Land, full of surprises – beauty and wonder. May Afghanistan be protected and cherished forever, for the future generations and for the world to enjoy.”

No 2 vegan: hell is missing u.
