In today’s news, European Union assists conflict-affected individuals in Ukraine, International Labour Organization estimates over 100 million people pushed into poverty by COVID-19, Benin protects coastline from erosion with coconut trees, United States study shows smoking and cardiovascular disease linked to dementia, three Nepali sisters make history summiting Mount Everest together, Portuguese company creates microalgae products to replace eggs and dairy, and high school student and her canine friend bring joy to local senior home in Kansas, United States.

European Union (EU) provides humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

The EU has confirmed a donation of €25.4 million to support the conflict-affected civilians of eastern Ukraine with improved healthcare availability, including a COVID-19 response. Offering legal and other protection services as well as helping restore damaged hospitals, houses and schools are also part of the plan. Furthermore, the funding will ensure enhanced access to safe water and schooling, with the main focus on meeting the essential needs of the most vulnerable, especially those with disabilities and seniors. Altogether, the EU has contributed €190 million in relief aid to the nation since 2014. The European Union is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection; as well as a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring. Our humble gratitude, European Union, for your ongoing help. May abundance and peace reach all the noble Ukrainian people, in God's compassion.

Over 100 million people affected by poverty due to COVID-19.

The United Nations International Labour Organization (ILO) has assessed in a new paper that the pandemic has pushed 108 million more workers worldwide to become moderately or extremely poor since 2019. Consequently, these individuals and their families need to survive with under US$3.20 per person daily. The analysis explains that the circumstances are the result of lost work hours amid lockdowns, job losses and decreased employment opportunities. Additionally, the assessment highlights that COVID-19 has worsened labor inequalities primarily among youth, women and migrants, as well as informal and low-skilled workers. In its recommendations, the ILO urges a human-focused recovery, including the development of productive employment and support for household income. Many thanks, International Labour Organization, for your informative report. In Heaven’s abounding grace, may better tomorrows await all people in a kind world.

Up next, Benin protects coastline from erosion with coconut trees. We’ll just take a little time to thank the project management specialists who oversee assigned projects, coordinate between stakeholders, estimate costs, set timelines, and ensure that the projects are on schedule for completion. We’ll be right back, with more engaging news on Supreme Master Television. Vegan, any better idea!

Hi, energetic friends, I am Azul the vegan Regal Blue Tang! It’s a wonderful life, for all beings. So live and let live – be vegan! Avoid falls and slippages by applying anti-slip tape on slippery surfaces like your outdoor stairs to increase the traction. The tape comes in an array of widths, shapes, textures and colors. Here are steps on how you can apply it to your stairs. First, thoroughly clean off your stairs. Place an anti-slip strip of tape over a step, laying it 1.3 centimeters from the edge. Peel away about 5 centimeters of the backing of the strip, making sure you touch the adhesive as minimally as possible. Next, firmly press the tape onto the step. Then peel back some more of the backing and again press the tape down onto the step until the entire backing has been peeled off. Lastly, use a rubber hand roller to roll over the tape to secure it in place, starting from the center and rolling toward the tape ends. Thank you for your attention and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet, thus save the world! Now, the weather around the globe.

Tree planting initiative to help stem eroding coastal shorelines in Benin.

The West African nation of Benin has begun a program to plant 500,000 coconut and palm trees along its coastline to safeguard it against the effects of erosion. This will also make the area more attractive to tourists. Coconut groves help stabilize the soil while providing delicious fruit. Around four meters of land are lost each year on 65% of its coast, and Benin also spends US$530,000 annually to maintain the region. Great news, Benin, on your smart eco-project. May your new trees grow strong and healthy as they protect and improve your delightful nation, in Divine abundance.

Dementia associated with cardiovascular disease and smoking.

A recent study by the nonprofit Translational Genomics Research Institute in the United States, which conducts genetic research to find new diagnostic methods and disease treatments, has linked dementia to smoking and cardiovascular disease. Smoking was found to negatively affect memory and verbal learning ability more in women, while men suffered a decline in these areas more due to cardiovascular disease. To obtain the results, over 70,000 people between the ages of 18 and 85 were sampled. The researchers noted that giving up smoking and sustaining the health of the cardiovascular system are important ways to protect against a deterioration in brain function. Our appreciation, Translational Genomics Research Institute team, for your important study. In the goodwill of the Providence, we pray that all people will adopt a health-protecting, plant-based diet combined with an active and balanced lifestyle.

Nepali sisters make history by ascending Mount Everest together.

Nima Jangbu, Tshering Namgya and Dawa Futi Sherpa have established a world record by being the first three sisters to successfully climb Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, together. However, this is only one part of what they have planned. Under the campaign “Three Sisters on Seven Summit,” they want to set a world record by scaling the highest mountains of all seven continents within a three-year period. In 2018, Nima Jangbu set a world record as the fastest female to the summits of Everest, Lhotse and Kanchenjunga during a single season within 25 days, also making her the only Nepali woman to ever reach the top of Mount Kanchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak. What a marvelous achievement, Nima Jangbu, Tshering Namgya and Dawa Futi Sherpa! May you inspire many others to excel in fulfilling their dreams, in Celestial radiance.

Coming up, Portuguese company creates microalgae products to replace eggs and dairy. We would like to take a moment to pray for a peaceful tomorrow where all beings can coexist harmoniously. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more alleviating news. Be an extraordinary leader = a vegan leader! Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Noble News for an Uplifting World.

New microalgae products created to replace egg and dairy items.

Portugal-based Allmicroalgae has developed two new Chlorella powders as alternatives for egg and dairy bases. In addition to marketing the more commonly used green Chlorella, the company has introduced Yellow Chlorella, to be added into foods as an egg replacement. Furthermore, its new White Chlorella can be a substitute for dairy products to make vegan mayonnaise, ice cream and snacks. The new creations have been approved by the European Food Safety Authority and offer antioxidant and detoxifying properties as well as high protein content with complete essential amino acids. Such an excellent innovation, Allmicroalgae. In Divine upliftment, may compassionate food choices bring us all towards a wonderful and peaceful planetary future.

Canine visitor brings joy to senior home.

As part of her final year high school assignment, Bella Tegtmeier of Kansas, United States, wrote about animals and their ability to help improve people’s depression, anxiety and chronic illnesses. She had previously experienced how much her dog and two cat buddies supported her during emotionally challenging times. Bella brought her friend’s canine companion Boone to visit residents at the local Morningside Place Memory Care Facility, a home for the elderly with dementia. There, Boone met around 20-25 seniors, including Bella’s grandmother Patsy Howell, who were delighted to become acquainted with the sweet and gentle pooch. According to the establishment’s community relations director, Chasity Robinson-Mwangi, petting an animal helps the residents connect to long-term memories. Our warm praises, Bella Tegtemier and Boone, for spreading love to our precious seniors. May we continue nurturing great friendships with our animal co-inhabitants and take care of one another, in God’s infinite benevolence.

Let’s have a laugh together listening to the joke of the day called “Touched.”

On his birthday, Blake was cutting the lawn in front of his house when his teenage son came home from a baseball game. Seeing his father behind the mower, he exclaimed:

“Oh, Dad, you shouldn’t have to mow the lawn on your birthday!”

Touched, Blake was about to turn the mower over to his son, when the boy added:

“You should wait until tomorrow!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Hsin-Ya in Taiwan, also known as Formosa:

Hallo, Beautiful Master, During meditation, I learned that a friend of mine many years ago had committed suicide in a very bad way. Her soul came to tell me in tears that she didn’t know what to do and where to go, saying that she had not earned any meritorious rewards when she was alive and didn’t learn what to do after death either. The only thing she could do is to hide herself under the table all the time, feeling very frightened and helpless.

I told her to recite “Supreme Master Ching Hai” with me. As soon as she pronounced the words “Ching Hai,” we saw flowers rain and a large ray of light cast down from the sky and heard sweet music. She was overwhelmed by such beautiful scenery. We hugged each other to bid farewell. Her soul then followed the light and flew up. I told her that she should go first and I would go up as well when it’s my time, and she should remember Supreme Master Ching Hai all the time. After that, during my meditation, I would see her presenting an ocean of various amazingly beautiful flowers in Heaven to make me happy. Seeing her so happy, I also felt very contented.

Master, thank You for Your incredible power. You are so great and extraordinary. You give us the Divine Quan Yin Method out of Your compassion, and we cannot find words to describe this enormous Grace. This is the greatest treasure in the world; it is more valuable than all of the jewelry in this mundane world. Thank You, I love You forever. Respectfully, Hsin-Ya from Taiwan (Formosa)

Caring Friend Hsin-Ya, Thank you for your heartline. Our hearts sing as we read yet another example of Supreme Master Ching Hai’s Divine Power. May Buddha Bless you, your loved ones, and the splendid Taiwanese (Formosan) people.

Master responds with these kind words: “Gentle Hsin-Ya, it is heartening that your friend is blessed by Divine Power and now in a better place and happy. I send you a warm embrace, and may you and picturesque Taiwan (Formosa) know the freedom and joy of Heaven’s boundless Grace.”

We welcome your heartlines, stories and or cute, loving animal clips. Please send them via SupremeMasterTV.com/heartline

Thank you for your presence on Noteworthy News. May good cheer and kindness be your gifts from Heaven.
