Germany supporting Syrian refugees in Iraq.

The German government, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion and Shining World Caring Leadership Award laureate, has contributed a further €13.3 million to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to benefit the 243,000- plus Syrian refugees in Iraq. These uprooted individuals face enormous economic hardships that are exacerbated by the pandemic. The funding will allow UNHCR to continue the provision of essential services, including cash-based assistance, legal aid, and child, gender and community-based protection programs. In coordination with the Directorates of Health in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, the UNHCR also furnishes free primary health care services at camps. Overall, Germany has given €21.4 million to the agency in 2020 for this effort. Our sincere appreciation, Germany and UNHCR, for the vital relief rendered. We pray that displaced persons globally soon find permanent, comfortable abodes, in Allah’s care and eternal grace.

Australia’s Great Barrier Reef’s corals decimated over past decades.

A new Australian Research Council (ARC) Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies paper concludes that between 1995 and 2017, over 50% of the Great Barrier Reef’s corals were lost, primarily due to climate change effects, particularly mass coral bleaching and marine heatwaves. Coral populations were unable to fully recover following such devastating events. The study’s authors warn that we must reduce greenhouse gas emissions now. The more than 344,000 square kilometer reef is home to 411 species of hard coral, more than 1,500 types of fish and many other species. Thank you, ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies, for highlighting the urgent need to limit emissions to save the Great Barrier Reef. May your advice be quickly followed as we take the path of planetary and personal healing by practicing compassion in all areas of our life.

Up next, photography award highlights mangrove forests’ immense value. We’ll just give thanks to aircraft structure assemblers for fitting and installing aircraft system components according to the manufacturer’s engineering blueprints. We’ll be right back, with more delightful news on Supreme Master Television. Lovely viewers, how are you doing? I’m Roy the vegan Red Squirrel, and wherever I go, others just can’t keep their eyes off me, because I became so adorable after turning vegan. Ah, don’t envy me, just get the same tool as I did: that’s right, the vegan diet. Then you’ll have the same result.

Today, I would like to share some tips on how to stay safe during home power outages.

  1. Disconnect all appliances and electronics to avoid any damage that may be caused by electrical surges.
  2. Keep the freezer and refrigerator doors closed for food to remain cold for the maximum possible period.
  3. If anyone in the household relies on refrigerated medicines or uses power-dependent medical devices, contact your healthcare provider on what to do.
  4. Generators, camping stoves, and charcoal grills should always be used outdoors and at least six meters away from doors, windows, and vents to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.
  5. Be careful when using candles for lighting.

Lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Thank you for watching. Now for the weather from around the world.

Winning photo captures beauty and vulnerability of world’s mangrove forests.

The United States-based conservation organization Mangrove Action Project recently announced the 2020 grand prize winner of its yearly Mangrove Photography Award. Victor Hugo Luja Molina from Mexico won the honor for his mesmerizing image Once Again Being a Mother, selected from over 1,000 entries from almost 70 countries. It shows a tender moment between a mother jaguar and her cub in a mangrove forest in Mexico. The photographs submitted this year highlighted the delicate state of the world’s mangrove forests, which are often harmed due to human activities, impacting the health of waterways and all inhabitants that live there. Kudos, Victor Hugo Luja Molina, on your incredible photograph and award. Our gratitude also, all participating photographers. We pray your pictures will create an ever-growing awareness of the importance of protecting the planet’s natural wonders, in Divine glory.

Togo designates first woman prime minister.

Her Excellency Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé was recently named Prime Minister of Togo and is the first time that a woman has filled this important role in the West African nation. Prime Minister Tomégah-Dogbé, who previously worked with the United Nations Development Programme and later served as the Chief-of-Staff of the President’s Office as well as Togo’s Minister for Youth and Grassroots Development, is greatly admired for her reforms to boost youth employment. Her appointment has been praised both as a measure that promotes gender equality and also brings optimism for Togo’s renewed economic development. Our sincere congratulations, Your Excellency Victoire Tomégah-Dogbé and all Togolese. May the Providence bless your precious country in progress and prosperity for a grace-filled future.

Kind woman provides loving home to elderly without relatives in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam.

With her heartfelt wish to take care of seniors in need, Nguyễn Thị Hồng, who lives in Đồng Nai, Âu Lạc (Vietnam) with her husband, Trần Thanh Thuận, built a retirement home where she now cares for 76 people. In the last 14 years, her residence has become a place of refuge for elders and others living with disabilities, where they are being provided with health care, daily activities, and vegetarian meals. Officially named Hòa Hảo Social Support Facility, people affectionately call it “Mrs. Hong’s home.” Not only taking care of the elderly, Ms. Hồng also often distributes vegetarian meals free of charge to underprivileged students. We humbly thank you, Ms. Hồng. You are a true angel sent from Heaven. May you and all those you care for be showered in Buddha’s love and grace. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gratefully present the Shining World Compassion Award to Nguyễn Thị Hồng and Trần Thanh Thuận, and a humble contribution of US$10,000 toward the noble cause with gratitude and praises. May you and all you care for feel the lasting Love from the Buddhas.”

Farm animals find home at Florida sanctuary.

Critter Creek Farm Sanctuary near Gainesville, Florida, United States, is home to 98 cows, 19 pigs, 10 donkeys, three turkeys, 11 horses and a water buffalo. The owners of the 162-hectare (400-acre) haven, vegans Erin and Chris Amerman, are devoted to providing loving, forever homes to animals rescued from the meat industry. Recent arrivals include a 2-week-old bull calf named Eli and a baby piglet named Marley, who was found after falling off a truck during transportation. They were brought to the sanctuary by Jason Bolalek, director of Destination Liberation, an organization which finds loving homes at animal sanctuaries throughout the country for rescued farm animals. Arriving at Critter Creek, Jason exclaimed, “This is paradise. This is how I believe animals should live.” Hallelujah, Erin and Chris Amerman, Critter Creek, Jason Bolalek and Destination Liberation! God bless your noble efforts. In Divine comfort, may Eli, Marley and all other precious animal friends flourish surrounded by much love.

It was time for spring cleaning. Just before he was about to begin, Alan answered the doorbell and discovered a half-dozen vacuum cleaner salesmen who all said they had appointments to demonstrate their products. Surprised, Alan went to his wife to discuss the situation.

“They have all arrived? Wonderful! Send them each to a different room.”
