Since ancient times, Chǎm people have always valued spirituality. Chǎm people in Âu Lạc (Vietnam) have two main belief groups: Chǎm Brahmin and Chǎm Islam. The traditional beliefs of the Chǎm Brahmin is the concept that nature and all objects have souls. They also believe in and worship the Creator of the universe. The Chǎm Islams have absolute faith in Allah as the only God, and Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) as the messenger of the Supreme God. Despite different beliefs, the Chǎm people still live together in harmony, and always try to preserve their culture, moral precepts, and religious beliefs.
