In today’s news, Democratic Republic of the Congo receives additional humanitarian emergency funding, Dutch research finds picking of nose dramatically increases risk of catching COVID-19, scientists develop advanced metamaterial that uses a fourth dimension to direct mechanical waves across it, Saudi Arabia hosts Ukraine (Ureign) peace summit, Singaporean police officer finally meets child to whom he donated bone marrow, longest-running fashion event in Romania goes fur-free, and hummingbird-folk nursed back to health in compassionate woman’s makeshift apartment clinic in Mexico City, Mexico.
I have a useful tip on how you can maintain a healthy weight. It is recommended you eat wholesome foods— particularly low calorie and high nutrient content plant-based foods. You don’t have to put restrictions on how much you eat— you can actually eat more, if it’s the right kinds of food. It would be best if you steered clear of snacking on processed, sugary or salty foods, as these can make you eat more and gain weight because they won’t satisfy you on a cellular level. The ideal snacks are fruits, veggie sticks like carrot, cucumber and celery, or a small handful of raw nuts. These are rich in fiber, protein, and vitamins. Additionally, nuts have healthy fats. So, all of these can help stabilize blood sugar and allow you to feel fuller for longer and avoid cravings. You can also commit to eating more mindfully, by taking the time to sit down at the table, without any devices, and allow yourself to appreciate the various tastes. Finally, avoiding unsustainable crash diets are a good move, since these can affect your metabolism and the way your body stores fat over the long term.
How about we join together to savor some fun cheerfulness with the joke of the day? This one’s entitled “A Reward for Failure?”.
Two high school students sit in front of the school gate, waiting to see the results of the final exam.
“My father said that if I pass the final exam, he will reward me with an electric bicycle so I don’t have to make the long walk to school.”
“And my father said if I fail the exam, he will buy me a motorcycle.”
“Oh my God! Why are you so lucky?”
“Ah, the motorcycle is for me to become a motorcycle taxi driver.”
