People from all walks of life showed up in the worst-flooded areas in Valencia, Spain, for clean-up efforts after the country was hit with its most severe weather disaster this century at the end of October 2024. Heavy downpours caused flash floods, sweeping away almost everything in their path. Sadly, at least 219 individuals perished. Some people arrived with mops, buckets, or shovels, while others brought food or drinking water. The volunteers cleared the debris and swept the muddy water off the streets and homes. The following are excerpts from a November 7, 2024 report to Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) from three contact persons of our Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association in Spain: “Most Greatest M who saves the suffering… The initiates in the City of Valencia who have not been directly affected by the floods are managing donations from fellow initiates in Spain and other countries. After having asked what products are needed at the moment, they found out that medical supplies, cleaning products, gloves, masks, etc., were lacking. Therefore, such products have been purchased and delivered to the official collection points to be taken to the villages affected by the floods. The members of our Association participated on the first day as volunteers helping other NGOs and on the second and third day, with the donations sent by members of our Association, masks, gloves, medicines and cleaning products were bought and taken to the collection point of the Food Bank. This is an NGO, since only the NGOs have the permission to distribute the supplies with vans among the affected villages.” Master replied: “God Grace. It’s sorrowful to hear of disasters, too much everywhere nowadays!! But I am glad that the good government and NGOs of all countries are stepping up their aiding efforts. And thanking you, caring initiates who are doing your best to help. Our world was an Eden, but it’s sadly not appreciated and lovingly taken care enough for it to be kept as a great gift from God!” In the same letter, the contact persons also reported: “In Valencia, there are 4 initiates of our Association who have been directly affected. They are in some of the most affected towns…” In response, Master stated: “If they need help, please go do it when it is allowed. Any extra needs, tell us. Remember to thank God for Hiers Grace that has lessened the collective and personal karma. Be more diligent in spiritual practice!” Our appreciation, all flood relief volunteers, for supporting your co-citizens in the affected areas. Our condolences go to all those who lost precious loved ones in this tragedy. Thank You, Master, for Your ever-present Love and Compassion for the victims in Spain.
