Here is a useful tip for those who have dog-people friends. Allowing our canine companions to sniff is essential as this provides them with abundant information about their surroundings which helps reduce their stress levels. According to veterinarians, as many dog-citizens age, they are more motivated to sniff and it appears to play a large role in their quality of life. When you are taking your four-legged friend on a walk, use a long leash and be patient with them as they wander and sniff. These sniff sessions will provide them with mental stimulation and have been shown to decrease their pulse rate and result in the release of dopamine, a mood-boosting hormone and neurotransmitter. This is particularly important for aging and anxious dog-individuals and urban-dwelling dog-folk who don’t have yards or many opportunities to sniff and be free to meander in safe environments.

Fun, fun, fun is on the way with the joke of the day. It’s entitled “Passing the Time.”

Two men were paddling a canoe across a wide river when one man accidentally lost his oar.

“Now what do we do?”

Irritated, the other man responds:

“I’ll just do all the paddling, and we’ll get there slower.”

“I know what I can do to help: I can tell jokes, sing and entertain you.”

“What good will that do?”

“Well, they say time flies when you’re having fun!”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Debra in the United States
